All good things...

There are two weeks left of my Canadian vacation which is crazy because I'm pretty sure I just got off the plane yesterday! It's been five relaxing weeks full of friends and family and doing absolutely nothing. My sisters are particularly fond of making fun of me for not working. It doesn't seem to matter to them that I worked all year and one of the best perks of teaching is summers off to lay around the pool. The pool which no longer have after this week because the house has been sold.

I knew that the house was being sold and I didn't really think I had any sentimental attachment to it until I was down the other cleaning it and all the memories came back. I fell in and out of love there, had a friend come from England and stay for a while, and mostly I grew up there. Not physically but emotionally and spiritually. It's where I really became an adult, where I worked hard and where I decided to do what God wanted and teach overseas. I have some really great memories of that house and the people who either lived there or stayed there or just visited there. I'm glad my parents are selling it though and I'm looking forward to my house in Suriname, who knows what fun things will happen there!
