I know I'm back in Suriname because things break/fall apart in my presence! I will admit to not having much grace in North America but I seem extra cursed here. For example:
-the shower in bathroom flooded the bedroom
-the water in the washing machine wouldn't load it just kept draining
-went to turn the fan on and the knob came off in my hand
-last night I turned on my air conditioner and the power went off in the entire house (We than wandered around outside looking for the fuse box with flashlights. We looked like we were casing the place!)
I'm basically renowned for this kind of thing and am very lucky that all the people around me have senses of humour. Thank God for people with the ability to fix things and laugh all at the same time!
